1. Introduction

MyEduApp ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our mobile application. We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 of Malaysia, and our product is designed to align with the Online Safety Act (ONSA) 2025 as its provisions are clarified.

2. Information We Collect

  • Personal Data: Name, email address, date of birth (for age verification), phone number (optional).
  • Usage Data: Quiz scores, learning progress, study time, gamification activity (XP, streaks, achievements).
  • Device Data: IP address, device type, operating system version, push notification token.
  • Purchase Data: Subscription status and purchase history. Card details are never seen or stored by us — payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store.

3. Children's Privacy

For users under the age of 16, we require verified parental consent before full account activation, in line with our ONSA 2025 readiness commitments. We do not sell or share the data of minors with third-party advertisers. All learning data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

4. Your Rights (PDPA)

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Access — request a JSON export of your data via Settings → My Data → Export.
  • Correction — update incorrect information via Settings → Edit Profile.
  • Deletion — request account deletion via Settings → Delete Account. A 30-day grace period applies during which you may cancel the request.
  • Withdrawal of consent — revoke processing consent at any time via Settings → Privacy.

Requests not resolvable in-app may be emailed to privacy@myedutechsystems.com and will be actioned within 21 days (PDPA s.18(3)).
